Recently, SIPG's technological innovation projects achieved remarkable success, winning 9 gold medals, 9 silver medals, and 2 bronze medals at the 7^th China (Shanghai) International Invention and Innovation Exhibition, setting new records in both participation and awards.

Focusing on innovation-driven development, SIPG is dedicated to building a smart and green port. The Group actively encourages employees to engage in technological innovation and promotes the technological transformation of their achievements. A total of twenty projects from SIPG subsidiaries such as Ganghang Digital Technology, Pudong  Container Terminal Company (PCTC),Shanghai East Container Terminal Company (SECT), Guandong International Container Terminal Company(GICTC), SIPG Logistics Company (SIPGL), and Shanghai Ocean Shipping Tally Company, along with projects recommended by the Group's Youth League Committee, were selected for the exhibition.

The Group's projects stood out among over 800 projects and all received awards. Notably, four outcomes from the Group's automation transformation project for traditional container terminal won 3 gold and 1 silver medals. Other six gold-winning projects included the "Intelligent Command Center System for the Production Operation of the Group-level Port" by Ganghang Digital Technology, the "Research and Application of Entry and Exit Identification and Control System for Container Trucks in the Intelligent Container Area" and the "Optimization of Seaside Grounding and Securing of the Dual-Hoist Quay Crane" by GICTC, the "Automatic Lubrication System for Quay Crane Hoisting Wire Ropes" by PCTC, the "LINDO Process Intelligent Management System" by Lindo MSC International Ship Agency, and the "Container Crane Wire Rope Inspection System Based on the Bionic Vision Technology" by SICTC.

The 7th China (Shanghai) International Invention and Innovation Exhibition commenced on June 12, 2024, at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center. Under the theme "Invention and Creation: Shaping the Future", the exhibition aims to promote international exchange and cooperation, showcase invention and innovative achievements, and accelerate the transformation of innovative results. It gathered scientific and technological forces from home and abroad, promoted the trade of scientific technologies, and featured a range of high-level, demonstrative, and innovative technological achievements. Inventors from across China and countries such as Romania, Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia showcased over 800 innovative technologies and achievements at the event.
