Key Data of SIPG in 2024

2024 marked a critical year of Shanghai International Port Group (SIPG) for achieving the goals set in its "14th Five-Year Plan", as well as an important year for advancing its sustainable, high-quality development. Focusing on the operational guideline of "seeking progress while maintaining stability, leading with strategic thinking, fostering innovation-driven growth, and making bold breakthroughs," SIPG approached the year with firm confidence and proactive measures. More specifically, SIPG strengthened innovation, and continuously enhanced its capabilities to build a world-class hub port.

Despite many external challenges, such as a slowdown in global economic growth, ongoing geopolitical tensions, slow growth in China's import and export volumes, and the impact of extreme weather, SIPG succeeded in maintaining stability in its core port operations. This was made possible through active market expansion, enhanced strategic cooperation with shipping lines, effective key client marketing, efficient production organization and management, and striving to secure container volumes. 

As a result, in 2024, SIPG’s container throughput exceeded 50 million TEUs for the first time, setting a new record. Meanwhile, its financial performance remained stable.
